TRANSLATION
"O my Lord! Transcendental poets and experts in spiritual science could not fully express their indebtedness to You, even if they were endowed with the prolonged lifetime of Brahma, for You appear in two features--externally as the acarya and internally as the Supersoul--to deliver the embodied living being by directing him how to come to You."
PURPORT
This verse from Srimad Bhagavatam (11.29.6) was spoken by Sri Uddhava after he heard from Sri Krishna all necessary instructions about yoga.
Excerpt from Srila Prabhupada Uvaca (29) by Srutakirti dasa:
"Entering Srila Prabhupada's quarters was always an enlightening experience. Sometimes Srila Prabhupada sat and read His books. Whenever He read it seemed as if someone else had written His books because He didn't read with the mind of an author who might be looking for editing mistakes or grammatical errors. He read them with the relish of a pure devotee reading the pastimes of the Supreme Lord to whom He was completely attached.
One day in Los Angeles I went into His room to perform my duties and He was sitting & reading "Bhagavad Gita As It Is". After I offered obeisances He looked at me and said, "If you just read this one book and understand, you will become Krishna Conscious in this very life." A few months later when I went into His room, He was reading "Nectar of Devotion". He looked at me and said, "This book is so nice. Just by reading this one book you can become Krishna Conscious."
Srila Prabhupada teaches us by example. He does everything He asks us to do. He requests us to read His book and He does, too. “

"Those who are cent percent engaged in the loving service of the Lord, buddhi-yogam dadami tam, He speaks from within. Then you can understand. He comes out, He exhibits Himself, manifests Himself the spiritual master, as spiritual master. Krishna is trying to help you from within, from without. Evam parampara praptam. You take advantage of it. From within, He, as Paramatma, caitya-guru, He'll help you. buddhi-yogam dadami tam. And from without, as spiritual master, He'll give you instructions from the sastra, from the Bhagavad-gita. The Bhagavad-gita is spoken by Krishna, and the Krishna’s representative, Krishna’s manifestation, the spiritual master, will rightly inform you. That is the position.
Excerpt from “Vrindavana days“ by Hayagriva Swami
“This bhakti-yoga is practical, scientific proved,” says Prabhupada. “If it doesn’t work, then you should examine yourself to see that you are following properly. Do you think that you can try to cheat Krishna without His knowledge?”
“No,” I say.
What do you think omniscience means?”
Again, I look down at the floor. I remember one of my grandmother’s favorite quotes: “There’s always an eye upon you.” It made me feel uneasy. Even as a child, I used to hate the idea.
“It means all-knowing, Srila Prabhupada,” I answer.
“Krishna knows your innermost thoughts,” Prabhupada says. “Nothing is secret to Him. Even if youthink you can hide sins from your guru, how long do you think you can go on comitting them? Do you think your guru can’t tell which disciple is cheating and which isn’t?”
“No, Srila Prabhupada.”
I resist the urge to hide. I remember The picture of Dorian Grey. All of Dorian’s sins were manifest on a canvas portrait which he kept hidden. Although the aging Dorian,s face remained youthful and unblemished, his hidden portrait was ghastly. And it was Freud who noted that a man’s guilt oozes out from every pore of the body.
“”Even an ordinary man can often tell when you’re lying,” Prabhupada continues, “what to speak of Krishna or guru?”
“I’m sorry, Srila Prabhupada.”
“Within your heart, Krishna as paramatma is witness. Sarvatah pani-padamtat sarvato’ksi-siro-mukham.’His hands, legs, eyes, and faces are everywhere, and He is hearing everything. He is the supersoul.’ Krishna within every atom is witness. Krishna witnesses in so many ways. How do you think you can avoid Him?”
“I don’t. But I always think that since Krishna knows everything, he understands everything.”
“Yes. He knows you better than you know yourself. Krishna not only knows everything about this life; He knows all your previous lives as well. ‘Arjuna, I can remember all the births we have passed together, but you cannot.’ That is the difference between God and the conditioned living entity--- forgetfulness.”
