To Establish Varnasrama

Dear devotees and friends,
Hare Krishna. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
 
In the Prabhupada Sankirtan Society (only by Srila Prabhupada's causeless mercy) we have been engaged 24 hours a day exactly as in the early days, practicing sadhana bhakti, performing sankirtan and book distribution and Sunday love feasts.  Now we are attempting to follow the last instruction of Srila Prabhupada: establish varnasrama.  The varnasrama society is so nice that everyone will be engaged or occupied in the Lord's service.  There is no restriction as there is in the Hare Krishna Movement as we know it, where only those who take to the brahmanical standards can live in the temple.  Varnasrama incorporates everyone regardless of ones apptitude, providing he is favorable to our Lord Krishna and His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada.  And Prabhupada wants us to be completely self-sufficient, depending on the land, cows and Krishna.  Not even to go off the land for anything, except for preaching. 

We are learning how to farm, which is a great art, how not to depend on electricity, how to get power to irrigate the land by oxen power, finding wild edible plants, how to build log cabins, weave our own cloth, how to churn butter, how to use castor oil for light, and a hundred other things.  It is a great challenge, but we are going forward by the strength of Srila Prabhupada, always depending on his mercy.
More or less we are alone in the attempt to establish the varnasrama as a group of devotees.  Yet this is the only thing that can save the Hare Krishna Movement, save the  American country and the entire world.  We are not qualified for such task, but the Lord and Srila Prabhupada are all powerful and can make the impossible possible. In fact it is destined to happen starting in America and then around the world.


 
Prabhupada: "Everything should be reformed, political, social, and be, you American nation--you're favored nation, that I am always speaking; you should utilize the favor of God and be yourself perfect-  and be leader of the whole world."

Srila Prabhupada says:
 

“Only a handful of you are there who are convinced beyond any doubt about this Krishna consciousness movement, but is sufficient to change the entire course of history.”

Prabhupada: Yes. In the... For the big scale, this is the required. In big scale you cannot make all of them as brahmanas or sannyasis. No. That is not possible. This is a small scale. How many percentage of people of the world we are controlling? Very insignificant. But if you want to make the whole human society perfect, then this Krsna consciousness movement should be introduced according to the Krsna's instruction, if you want to do it in a large scale for the benefit of the whole human society. Now we are picking up some of them, best. That is another thing. But Caitanya Mahaprabhu said para-upakara. Why a certain section should be picked up? The whole mass of people will get the benefit of it. Then it is required, systematic. Sve sve karmany abhiratah samsiddhim labhate narah. Para-upakara means mass benefit, not there is certain section. Then we have to introduce this varnasrama-dharma. It must be done perfectly, and it is possible and people will be happy.

 We would like to be his instruments for such a noble cause.  Srila Prabhupada wants all of his disciples who are faithful to him to not stop pushing on this mission.  He said that those who continue will be blessed both by Lord Caitanya and His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Prabhupada.
